3 to 1 Collaboration on YouTube

March 1, 2019

ft. Share What You Love DSP, May Flowers Framelits Dies, and Well Written Framelits Dies

I am participating in another monthly collaboration on YouTube, where the hostess tells the participants three (3) items we are permitted to use to make our projects for that month in addition to some staples such as Card Stock, Glue, Black Ink, Designer Paper, and Stamps (although this month I wasn't clear that we were allowed to use stamps...lol).  For this month, we were told we could use:
       1)  Die Cuts
       2)  Gems
       3)  Any coloring medium (e.g., alcohol markers, pencils, ink and a water brush, watercolors).

First, I pulled out some Designer Series Paper, the beautiful Share What You Love specialty DSP!  Then I went looking for a stamp set that might coordinate with the papers, and a matching die set.  I stamped out some images, and then realized she didn't say we could use Stamps!!!  Yikes!  So, I looked at the dies that matched and, Whew!, there were some stand-alone flower dies.   So, I cut a bunch of the flowers out in coordinating colors.

Next, I wondered how I might use a coloring medium if I couldn't use any Stamps?!?!   My solution was to watercolor with two ink pads and an Aqua Painter on Whisper White card stock (because I thought that watercolor paper might be an extra and only allowed if she said, which she hadn't).  The paper got a little bit warped, but it worked.

Finally, no Stamps?  Sentiment came from the Well Written Framelits Dies.  Then, assemble and add a gem in the middle of the flowers.

I think the cards turned out great!  So, below is my video for this month's 3 to 1 collaboration on YouTube.  I'll have a video up with new Prompts every 1st of the month in 2019.

Also, I've provided the dimensions and a Supply List for items used in making both cards.   I hope you'll watch and do consider shopping with me by clicking on any of the item links below.  Don't forget to use the host code (upper right corner of this blog page) for any orders Under $150 (this is for U.S. only please).   Thanks so much!
