Easter Blessings - Stained Glass Window - from Card Hop with Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators - March 20, 2019

I realized in going through my stamp sets, I really don't have much related to the real reason for Easter.  So, I came up with this card, using the Graceful Glass Designer Series Vellum Paper, some Stampin' Blends, and my Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.  I love how it turned out.

The card base is Berry Burst Card Stock, cut at 11" x 4-1/4", and scored at 5-1/2" and the card stands vertically rather than horizontally.  I trimmed the image from the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum as I thought it looked like a Stained Glass window from a church. I colored the flowers and butterflies first using various Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  Then used Light Pool Party to get the glass effect on the window.  It is surrounded by two shades of Bermuda Bay.

TIP: When using the Blends on Vellum, do a layer, let it dry, then color again to get the deepest color.  If you get too much on at the same time, it will pool up a bit and you may have to dab it off with tissue.

I cut a piece of Whisper White to the exact size of the Stained Glass "window" which made the colors show up better.  That is 5-1/4" x 3" wide.  Adhere the Vellum piece to the Whisper White with 6 mini glue dots (all corners and two on the side).  Then adhere the Whisper White to the Berry Burst with Stampin' Dimensionals (I used quite a few of these).

Stamp the "Easter Blessings" on a thin strip of Whisper White and flag each end using the Triple Banner Punch (or you can do it with Snips).

Die cut 3 little butterflies using Daffodil Delight card stock, and using the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits in the 2019 Occasions catalog.  Place them as shown or where you would like them using Mini Glue Dots.

Inside, cut a Whisper White mat size 5-1/4" x 4" and use the fancy part of the Detailed Trio Punch to make a design in all 4 corners.  Use the "may God bless you and keep you" stamp from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and the Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad to put the greeting on the inside.  Adhere the Whisper White mat to the Berry Burst using the liquid glue.
