PEACEFUL POPPIES BIRTHDAY CARD 1 - FANCY GATE FOLD - 5/31/2020
FOR THE GREAT AMERICAN STASH BASH 2020 - YOU TUBE COLLABORATION
Each month, on the last day of the month, I participate in a YouTube collaboration hosted by Heather's Handmade Haven. The idea is to use what is in your stash and create cards. There is a theme each month, and this month was Birthday Cards.
Since the beautiful Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Elements are retiring, I decided to use this paper one last time. I had also come across a tutorial for a Fancy Gate Fold card and wanted to give that a try. The result is the card you see pictured below, which I feel might be one of my better creations, or at least most unique cards. I hope you agree!

DIMENSIONS and DIRECTIONS:
1) Whisper White 12" x 12" Card Stock - Cut to 12" x 5-1/2". Score at 2", 4", 8" and 10" - fold and burnish to form the basic gatefold.
2) Designer Series Paper (DSP):
- 1 x 3-3/4" W x 5-1/4" H
- 4 x 1-3/4" W x 5-1/4" H
- Front Piece - 3-3/4" W x 5" H (NOTE: You can substitute this for a piece of Whisper White and stamp a design, instead of using DSP. This piece will be cut into 3 x 1-3/4" H x 3-3/4" W).
4) Peaceful Poppies Elements for inside card
5) Whisper White Scrap for Sentiment inside - use sentiment of your choice and dies or punches of your choice.I used 1-1/2" circle punch, layered on the black Peaceful Poppies circle element.
Assembly is pretty easy, with the front close being the trickiest part. Beneath my YouTube video I will have a link to the video I watched to learn how to make this card. Here is a link to my YouTube video sharing this and two other cards (in separate blog posts).
