PEACEFUL POPPIES BIRTHDAY CARD 2 - featuring Birthday Backgrounds - 5/31/2020
for the GREAT AMERICAN STASH BASH YouTube Collaboration
For my second card in the collaboration on May 31st, I wanted to also use a soon-to-be retired stamp set called Birthday Backgrounds by Stampin' Up!. I combined it with the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and Peaceful Poppies Elements, both also to retire on June 2, 2020. This is an A2 card that is bright and colorful and was fun to make!

The dimensions for this card are the same as any standard A2-sized card (5-1/5" High x 4-1/4" Wide). Here are the components you will need:
- Front of Card
1) Thick Whisper White Cardstock for the card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4", folded and burnished).
2) Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (or DSP of your choice) - 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" for front mat.
3) Basic Black Cardstock - 5-1/4" H x 4" W - front mat.
4) Whisper White Cardstock - 5" H x 3-3/4" W - top mat on front.
5) Basic Black and Whisper White scraps to use with Timeless Label Punch for sentiment.
6) Peaceful Poppy Elements - black label and double poppy die cut, as well as scalloped border at top.
- Inside of Card
1) DSP - 5-1/4" H x 4" W
2) Basic Black Card Stock - 5" H x 3-3/4" W
3) Whisper White Card Stock - 4-1/2" H x 3-1/2" W (Note: You could use 4-3/4" H x 3-1/2" W instead).
4) One Peaceful Poppy Element of your choice
The steps are simple:
1) Create your card base.
2) Glue down the front DSP mat directly on Card Front.
3) Stamp the Birthday Background Images as shown on the card, using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Crushed Curry Stampin' Pad! and Poppy Parade Stampin' Pad.
4) Stamp your sentiment and punch out. Layer on top two Basic Black punch outs from same punch and stagger the pieces to form a border around the sentiment, as shown. Glue together, but put on card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
5) Glue down the black label element on bottom.
6) Put the Poppy element up on dimensionals.
7) Glue the Whisper White piece onto the Basic Black mat, and then glue that on top the DSP mat.
8) Assemble the inside - DSP mat, then Basic Black, then Whisper White. Glue a Poppy element in bottom left corner.
