BEAUTY ABOUNDS MEETS BOTANICAL BUTTERFLIES

Card 2 - Daffodil Delight - February 5, 2019

This was the second card we made in the YouTube live stream this evening, although we did have to adjust it so the one we made looked just slightly different.

Measurements and instructions follow, as well as links to all the products used in making this card.
A link to the YouTube video will be in the description for Card 3 from 2/5/19.  I think I just needed a pop of Spring sunshine, given all the cold and snow and damp rain around my area lately.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Prepare Card Stock:
1) Daffodil Delight - cut an 8-1/2 x 11" piece of card stock in half lengthwise. Your cut piece will measure 4-1/4" x 11".
2) Basic Black - cut a mat for the front to measure 4-1/8" x 5-1/8"
3) Whisper White - cut a mat for the front to stamp on to measure 4" x 5".
4) Whisper White - cut a mat for the inside to measure 4" x 5-1/4".

Using the Stamparatus - align the floral stamp on the left of the Whisper White mat, and the two sentiments shown in the picture on the right side of the mat. Ink with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp the images.

Color the floral spray with Stampin' Blends in Daffodil Delight (flowers) and Granny Apple Green (leaves). Use both the light and dark for each color of Stampin' Blend to add some dimension.

Add Daffodil Delight organza ribbon down the center between the floral spray and sentiments using Glue Dots. NOTE: If the organza ribbon is no longer available, use any colorful ribbon of your choice,

Adhere the white mat with liquid glue to the black mat and adhere to the front of the card base.
Also adhere the inside white mat onto the inside card base.

Apply the flower-shaped Daffodil Delight sequins to the ribbon (4 of them) and one to the upper right corner.

Using the Small butterfly on the Butterfly Duet Punch, punch out one of the green butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. Adhere to top of floral spray with a single glue dot in center of butterfly and raise the wings a little.
YAY! YOUR CARD IS DONE! HOW PRETTY, RIGHT?
