On Tuesday, April 23rd, I posted a YouTube video in collaboration with a friend, where we shared some alternative cards using the April Paper Pumpkin kit and the gorgeous Sentimental Rose distinktive stamp set included in the kit.  To that, I added some other Stampin' Up! supplies from my stash to arrive at the cards shown above.

The YouTube video is linked directly below where I first shared these cards.  Below that, I'll go over how I made each card, starting bottom center and going counter-clockwise.  The list of all supplies other than those from the Paper Pumpkin kit will be linked at the bottom of the blog.  I hope you like them; I had a lot of fun making these and plan on making some additional projects to use up the kit entirely.

Card 1 (bottom center in picture)

This was the easiest alternative card to make.  The base is one of the note cards from the kit (the one with circles with lines through them).  I simply added a Colored Doily in Flirty Flamingo to start and put it right in the center of the card - turned horizontally or landscape.

Then, I did cut apart one of the envelopes to use the pattern that appeared to be Flirty Flamingo in color as well.  I cut a 3/4" x 4" strip from the envelope flap and flagged it on both ends using the Triple Banner Punch.  I placed this across the center of the doily (center of card).

Using the Thank You sentiment from the kit stamp set, and Gray Granite Stampin' Pad (you can use the Stampin' Spot from the kit for this one), I stamped Thank You onto one of the labels from the kit (the one that had Flirty Flamingo outline on it).

Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I placed the stamped label in the middle of the strip (centered in the middle of the doily).

Last, I used one each of the three sizes of enamel dots provided in the kit - the Flirty Flamingo ones.  I placed one on the label and two on the background card base.   Done!  A cute alternate note card - easy for a beginner stamper.

Card 2 (bottom right in picture)

This card also uses part of the same envelope as in Card 1.  We start with a Thick Whisper White card base for this one cut to standard A2 size and turned landscape.  A2 = cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", Score at 4-1/4".

Cut a piece from the inside of the Flirty Flamingo design envelope in the kit that measures approximately 3-1/2" high by 4-3/4" wide (when turned landscape).  Glue to Whisper White card base.

Take the card front square from the kit that has the 3 flowers already on it.  Stamp the leaf trio using Mint Macaron Stampin' Pad.  Glue this down about 1/4" from the right side of the Flirty Flamingo envelope paper and approximately 3/8" from the top of the envelope paper (not centered).  This goes off the bottom of the envelope paper by approximately 1/4".

Next, take a piece of the 1/8" Flirty Flamingo ribbon included in the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack approximately 3-3/4" long and place it along the top of the card front piece, but offset about 1/2" from the right of that card front (see picture and/or video).

Stamp onto the back of one of the labels in the kit (I used the one that had the Flirty Flamingo color on the front).  Use Mint Macaron Stampin' Pad and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the kit.

Embellish with 3 Faceted Dots in Mint Macaron, with one being on the label and the other two wherever you'd like them on the card.

Inside:  place a strip of the envelope paper approximately 3/8" wide x 4" high on the left side of the inside card.

Card 3 (upper right corner in picture)

Again, cut a standard A2 card out of Thick Whisper White cardstock.  A2 = cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", Score at 4-1/4".  This time, I used the card in a vertical format, opening on the right.
Confession:  I inadvertently used card that was 8-1/2" x 5-3/4", scored at 4-1/4", so I have adjusted the measurements of the other layers accordingly so you can fit yours onto the A2 card size.

Cut a strip (or use scraps) of Flirty Flamingo cardstock 2-1/2" wide x 5-1/4" high.  Cut a strip of Brights Designer Series Paper (from the 2018-2019 catalog) in Flirty Flamingo (I used the one with white polka dots on it) to 1-3/4" wide x 5-1/4" high.  Glue this piece onto the far right side of the Flirty Flamingo card stock piece.

Using one of the card front pieces from the kit (the one with Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Mint Macaron all on it), place that approximately 3/8" from the left margin of the Brights DSP and centered from top to bottom on the DSP as well (see picture).
CAUTION:  Glue this ONLY onto the DSP, but do NOT glue any of these card stock pieces to the Thick Whisper White card base yet.

Then, take a piece of the Flirty Flamingo 1/8" ribbon (same as used in the last card) long enough to wrap about all these card pieces above with the top of the ribbon approximately 1" up from the bottom of the card front piece from the Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Use glue dots to tack the ribbon down on the back of these compiled card pieces.

NOW, glue the Flirty Flamingo/Brights DSP/card front piece down onto the Thick Whisper White card stock, centering it as best you can.

Next, using Mint Macaron, stamp the "Thinking of You" sentiment from the kit onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock.  Punch it out using the Pretty Label Punch.  With the Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Write Marker (out of the Many Marvelous Markers), use the brush end and edge the punched piece with the marker (this adds color without adding more dimension).

Stamp the Distinktive Rose from the kit in Flirty Flamingo onto Whisper White Cardstock.  Stamp two of the leaves from the kit in Mint Macaron onto Whisper White cardstock.  Fussy cut the rose and both leaves.

Using Stampin' Dimensionals, place the rose into the upper center of the card front piece from the kit.  Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (one on each leaf set), place the two leaf sets under the rose where you would like them.  The Mini dimensionals are not quite as high as the regular Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next, place the stamped sentiment label centered over the Flirty Flamingo ribbon, but only about 1/4" in from the left of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock piece.

Add five Faceted Dots in Mint Macaron on the card and label (I used 2 medium and 1 small on the label, and 2 larger ones on the card).

Inside:  Ink the rose again using Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Pad.  Stamp off 2x.  The third time, stamp on the inside of the card, centered left to right, but placed a bit higher up vertically.

Enjoy your card!

Card 4 (top center in picture)

Cut a card base from Flirty Flamingo cardstock to standard A2 size.  A2 = cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", Score at 4-1/4".

Take a piece of All My Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) 1-1/4" wide x 5-1/2" high and glue it to the far left side of the card front.

Next, glue down the square-ish corrugated piece from the Paper Pumpkin kit approximately 3/8" from the left side of the card front and roughly centered vertically (mine is a little bit lower than centered).  Place a Colored Doily in Flirty Flamingo in the center of the corrugated piece.

Stamp the Sentimental Rose from the kit in Flirty Flamingo.  Stamp one Leaf Set from the kit in Mint Macaron.  Fussy cut both of those out.  Using Stampin' Dimensionals, place the Rose in the center of the doily.  Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, place the Leaf Set under the upper right portion of the Rose, so that most of the leaves show.

Add 3 enamel dots from the Paper Pumpkin kit (the Mint Macaron ones).  Use one large in the upper left corner of the corrugated piece, and two smaller ones on the Flirty Flamingo card base.

Inside:  Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 2-3/4" high x 3-3/4" wide.  On the left side roughly 1/4" in, stamp the dotted background image from the kit twice (vertically), using Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Pad.  Stamp the Thinking of You sentiment from the kit with the same ink pad.  Use liquid glue to adhere the Whisper White Card piece about 1/3 of the way down the card and centered horizontally.

Enjoy your card!

Card 5 - Tri-Fold Card (upper left in picture)

Cut a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock to 8-1/2" x 5-1/2".  Score at 4-1/4".  From the 4-1/4" score line, score again 2-1/8" (so take 1/2 of one panel and fold it in half basically).  Fold the smaller half back in the opposite direction of the 4-1/4" score fold, to form a small Z on top the back card base.

Using Calypso Coral Stampin' Pad, stamp the Rose from the Paper Pumpkin kit 3 times down the left side (part way off the paper) on the front small panel of the Calypso Coral card base.

Cut the following additional pieces of paper:
1) Whisper White Card Stock 3-1/2" wide x 3-1/4" high
2)  Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper (6x6) - 2" wide x 5-1/4" high
3)  Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper (6x6) - 4" wide x 5-1/4" high

Stamp the Rose onto the right side of the Whisper White card piece (once in the upper corner - partial rose only, and once along the bottom right - partial rose only) (see video).

Glue the Designer Series Paper pieces onto the inner fold and the larger back part of the Calypso Coral card base, being careful to keep the tops and bottoms lined up with one another.

Glue the Corrugated square'ish piece and the card front piece from the kit with the 3 flowers on it together.  Glue the corrugated piece onto the stamped card front (small part of Z) such that when the Z is closed, the right side of the corrugated "square" aligns with the right side of the Garden Impressions DSP on the back piece.

Next, carefully align the Whisper White piece onto the larger Garden Impressions DSP piece, such that it will Not show when the card is closed (it should be hidden by the corrugated piece).  Glue it down onto the DSP.

Make a bow using the Calypso Coral 3/8" Satin Ribbon and place it just above the upper left corner of the corrugated piece on the card front.

Using the Calypso Coral Dark Stampin' Blend marker, color three Basic Pearls (normally white).  Using the Take Your Pick tool, place these 3 pearls onto the floral card front.

Now you have a beautiful card!  You can add any sentiment you want (if you so desire) on the inside Whisper White piece OR somewhere on the floral card front piece.  I chose not to put a sentiment on this one.

Card 6 (bottom left corner in picture)

Cut an A2 card base out of Thick Whisper White cardstock.  This one I made landscape (horizontal) instead of portrait (vertical).  A2 = cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", Score at 4-1/4".

Cut the following other papers:
1)  Subtles 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) from 2018-2019 Annual Catalog - Mint Macaron color with the tone-on-tone stripe - 5-1/4" x 4"
2)  Subtles 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) - 5" x 3/4" (for inside card)
3)  Vellum - 5" x 3-3/4"

Get from kit the card front that only has Mint Macaron and So Saffron on it (it measures 4-1/4" x 3").  Also, get one label with the Mint Macaron edging, and one corrugated strip that isn't flagged.

Using So Saffron Stampin' Pad (ink), stamp full strength in the upper left corner and bottom right corner of the vellum with the Rose, such that it is partially stamped in those corners.  The vellum should be landscape when you do this.  Set this aside to allow the ink to dry being careful not to touch the ink as it will smudge.

Using So Saffron Stampin' Pad, stamp the Rose from the kit in full strength onto the large white area of the card front from the kit - partially off the card (see picture and/or video).

Stamp the "Thank You" sentiment from the kit using Mint Macaron Stampin' Pad.  Glue this to the center of the long corrugated strip.

To assemble:
1) Glue down the striped DSP, centering it horizontally on the Whisper White card base.
2)  Using Glue Dots (1 in each corner and 2 or 3 across the center), place the Vellum piece over the striped DSP such that the So Saffron roses are in the upper left and bottom right corners.
3)  Using Stampin' Dimensionals, center the card front from the kit (that you stamped a rose onto), on the Vellum.
4)  Using 1 Dimensional on the left side of the corrugated piece and liquid glue on the rest, add the sentiment strip to the bottom left of the card front piece.  The left side of the corrugated strip should be just about to the edge of the striped DSP.

Add 3 Mint Macaron enamel dots from the kit - 1 of each size.  I put one on the Vellum in the upper right corner which helped camouflage that glue dot.  The other two go on the card front that has the stamped So Saffron Rose.

Inside:  use a leftover strip of the DSP (striped paper) approximately 3/4" x 5" and glue down along the bottom of the Whisper White card base.

Enjoy your card!

Below are links to all the products used.  Please NOTE:  These were available as of the time I made these cards (except the Paper Pumpkin kit is subscription and, to the best of my knowledge, there are no remaining April 2019 kits).  It is highly likely that some items (such as the Faceted Dots and Designer Series Papers) will NOT be in the new annual catalog to take effect June 4, 2019.  You can use similar products in your stash.  These are just design ideas.
Thanks for visiting and, hopefully, watching my YouTube video!
