MASCULINE VALENTINE'S DAY CARD 1

featuring Country Club Designer Series Paper and Heartfelt Bundle by Stampin' Up!
from YouTube Live January 21, 2020

Last week on my live stream, someone challenged me to make Masculine Valentine's Day cards using Hearts.  I accepted the challenge and all three of my cards on the Live Stream Tuesday evening 1/21/2020 feature hearts from the Heartfelt Bundle, but in a more masculine way.

I was given a pack of Country Club Designer Series Paper at the OnStage event by Stampin' Up! in Connecticut this past November.  Now, I'm not a golfer (other than mini-golf), but the paper is versatile enough to use the reverse sides for other than golf cards.  That said, I did use some of the images on the paper on the first card, so it IS a golfing-related card.  Here are some images of that card:

The dimensions of the card are as follows:
  • Card Base - Seaside Spray Cardstock - 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"  (NOTE: I think I misstated this in the video, but these are the correct measurements.)
  • Country Club Designer Series Paper:
    • Front of Card Mat - 5-1/4" x 4"
    • Inside Card Mat - 5-1/4" x 4"
    • Inside Card Pocket - 2" x 4"
    • Largest Layering Scalloped Square to cut out the image on DSP and color it in
    • Pieces of DSP that were fussy cut out - the golf ball emblem/shield, the 3 golf balls strip, a single larger golf ball for embellishment, and a flagged Crushed Curry plaid strip.
  • Whisper White Card Stock - Inside - 5" x 3-3/4", plus a scrap to punch out Plain Edge Heart
  • Garden Green Card Stock - Scrap to punch out Scalloped Heart
Assembly was pretty easy for this card.  The most time consuming part is doing the coloring on the already "stamped" image within the Country Club Designer Series Paper.  The link to my YouTube live stream is directly below, if you'd like to see this card coming together.
