Happy Halloween Cards - from 9/3/19 YouTube Live

featuring Harvest Hellos and Word Wishes Dies

It was a strange night on YouTube when comments of my YouTube friends stopped being visible after the Halloween cards were done.  So very strange.  So, YouTube ended up being split into two Live Streams and, from now on, I'll keep my phone on the charger in the Same Room as my broadcast, and keep my gmail open as well!  Anyway, despite that, I think the cards from that night turned out awesome.  They'll be shown in several separate blog posts showcasing 9 separate cards, so the introduction on the rest may be a bit skimpy to avoid being too repetitive.   This first grouping features 3 Happy Halloween cards (2 different styles).  I hope you enjoy them!

Both cards are A2 size (5-1/2" H x 4-1/4" W).  Both are on Basic Grey card stock base with Basic Black mats.

On Card 1, the mat is 5-1/4" x 4" and was run through the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.  Then, I stamped the Jack-O-Lantern face from the Harvest Hellos stamp set with the Craft White Ink in a random pattern.  I wrapped that layer vertically with the Glittered Black Organdy Ribbon.  Then die cut a scalloed circle from the Layering Circles Dies and bumped that up on Black Stampin' Dimensionals.  Next, I stamped the pumpkin with Jack-o-Lantern face onto Whisper White scrap, but then I rubbed that white with some of the Delicata Silver ink, which gave it a greenish-silver look (I think this made it eerie).  I punched out the pumpkin with the Apple Punch that coordinates with the Harvest Hellos stamp set.  I also punched just the leaf and stem from the Silver Glimmer Paper.  I glued the pumpkin, leave and stem directly onto the Black Foiled circle.  Then I die cut the Happy Halloween also out of the Silver Glimmer Paper and glued the words down as shown.

The Inside of Card 1 has a narrow piece of Whisper White that I sponged with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink around all the edges.  Before gluing that down, I stamped the Jack-o-Lantern face using Memento Tuxedo Black  all over the Basic Grey card base (inside right only).  Then, I stampedone Jack-o-Lantern face bottom right corner of the Whisper White piece, and also stamped a sentiment from the Word Wishes stamp set.   I glued this piece closer to the left fold of the card, rather than centered.  See video if this sounds confusing.

On Cards 2 and 3, Mat 1 is also 5-1/4" x 4".  I ran this through the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I had already taken another mat size 5" x 4" and used Delicata Shimmery Silver ink and a sponge to stencil one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks onto Basic Black cardstock.  After that was dry, I cut that in half vertically at 2" and used a piece on each of Cards 2 and 3 and glued that to the left hand side of Mat 1.  Then I took a piece of Real Red Cotton Ribbon and wrapped it around Mat 1 vertically right over the right edge of the stenciled piece.  Then glued down Mat 1 to the card base.  Next, I die cut 2 Real Red scalloped circles using the Layering Circles Dies.  I placed that over the Real Red Ribbon using Black Stampin' Dimensionals.   Last, I die cut the Happy Halloween words from the Word Wishes bundle out of Black Foil Sheets, and glued those across the red scalloped circle.  See pictures above for results.  Oh, on Mat 1 on the right-hand card (Card 3), I sprayed that first with a mixture of about 2 drops of Delicata Silver ink refill to alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer, shook really well, and sprayed that mixture onto the black mat.  I had not done that on the left-hand card (Card 2).  That was done before assembling the rest of the card front.

The inside of Cards 2 and 3 are a simple Whisper White mat on top a Basic Black mat glued onto the Basic Grey card base.  They are each 1/4" smaller all around than the piece under them.
